I got a WaterBOB - It's one of those water bladders that goes in your bathtub.  I should be able to fill the whole tub with drinkable water in a sealed, clean container in an emergency.

I've got maybe a week of bottled water available, but the bathtub could last me a month or more.

I also got a pretty decent deal on some Wise Foods tubs for Black Friday, and those should be arriving soon.  Still overpriced at 2x the cost per calorie of the NatGeo tubs they sell at WalMart, but it tastes really good.

We had a power outage here the other day that lasted 7 hours. Reminded me to:

1) get more gas for the generator.
2) additional battery operated lanterns (uses DeWalt batteries)
3) more Coleman fuel for the Coleman lanterns and stove.

We already had these things, but added to it. One day the lights may go out for longer than a day...

Bought an Arktis B110 British SAS combat smock (aka "parka").
It's unlined (less sweating while running or humping a ruck), windproof, with lots of pockets to hold my Tier 1 (EDC) basic survival kit. Roomy enough to wear armor underneath, SAS style. I like the British DPM camo pattern, but I got it in Coyote Brown instead so as to be a slightly more gray "gray man".

I started rucking.  It'll build my core strength, get me fitter, and help me to get used to carrying stuff on my back.

I usually don't do something EVERY day but I got a minor surgical kit, set it up and threw it in the BOB.  Never know when you might find a Dr. and you have the equipment they need.

I upgraded my EDC knife from my trusty old Victorinox Swiss Army Knife to a Benchmade North Fork.
I got the one with the wood handle because I'm just old fashioned that way.
